Children 23 months and younger are complimentary and considered a lap child.
Check-in is 1-hour prior to tour time. This allows for guest weight check-in, a safety briefing, and to be escorted and seated on the aircraft to ensure an on-time departure. Late arrivals may not be accepted and non-refundable. Please allow ample travel time to your check-in location in case of traffic delays.

No scuba diving within 24 hrs of departure
For each guest weighing over 240 pounds (108 kg), an adjacent empty seat is required to safely balance the aircraft. The second seat charge is half off of the regular tour price. Please arrange your additional seat after booking.
You should wear dark colored clothing so not to reflect in photos.
Hats, Bags, large cameras, extending selfie sticks are not permitted on the helicopter.
We recommend bringing a credit card for optional video/photo packages and souvenirs at heliport.

Unforgettable and Inclusive Helicopter Tour for Special Needs!

One of the best things we did at the Big Island! We've NEVER ridden a helicopter before and we flew with our 12 year old with Down syndrome who has sensory issues to loud noises. Honestly, most of our family didn't think he'd be able to join. BUT we showed him the video footage from Blue Hawaiian Helicopter's website to warm him up. Then, we called in advance and the company said we could come earlier and were so friendly and accommodating. When we arrived, we were greeted and Juliana in particular was so welcoming, patient, and understanding with us and our son. She made sure he had time to warm up and feel comfortable. Our pilot, Greg, was good! He was informative, friendly, and very patient with our son and family. We filled the helicopter. And we got to view some of the most breathtaking scenes of our lives.

Amazing whole island tour

My family had never been on a helicopter ride before and were nervous for the trip. But Toshi (our pilot) and the entire crew were very professional and made my family feel comfortable from the start. The ride was amazing and we saw so much more than we could have by car. With the volcano erupting, Toshi took us over and we saw amazing sights of the lava erupting in the crater. My kids (13 & 15) thought the whole trip was amazing. Definitely recommend. It is worth the expense.
