I completed the La Chorrera Waterfall and Cerro Guadalupe tour on New Year's Eve with David and it was a wonderful way to finish 2024. David was an excellent guide, he had a warm personality, a great sense of humour and was very knowledgeable. He also spoke excellent English and didn't mind taking hundreds of photos for me. Our driver William was also very friendly and drove safely.
Visiting La Chorrera means you get to see two waterfalls in the national park and to my surprise the beautiful surrounding countryside and animals. As I visited during dry season, there wasn't any heavy water flows, but that doesn't mean La Chorrera was any less beautiful. An advantage of visiting in dry season meant you got to get right under the waterfall and fully explore. The walk itself was mostly flat and not challenging if you are fit, there are some steps as you approach the waterfalls.
On the drive back to Bogota we also visited Cerro Guadalupe. The views were amazing and there were lots of locals visiting the church. I had the opportunity to visit Monserrate as part of a different tour and Guadalupe felt more 'authentic' and you were able to appreciate it more as there was hardly any other tourists, just locals.
This was a great tour and I recommend it to anyone looking to explore off the beaten Bogota path.
