Overview

Embark on this full-day Rio de Janeiro City Tour with a guide and visit Rio de Janeiro's top landmarks and highlights. We visit to Corcovado Mountain and the Christ the Redeemer statue going through the Paineiras route. The 20-minute drive to the base of the statue takes you through the Tijuca Forest and gives you a preview of the landscapes ahead. The statue stands 710 meters tall and from this vantage point, you’ll have sweeping views of the city. We also visit the Sugar Loaf. The cable car ride to the top of the mountain is done in 2 stages: begin at the boarding station to Urca Mountain (224 meters) and then from Urca Mountain to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain (395 meters). Let’s also stop at the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Arcos da Lapa with the traditional Selarón Staircase, the Sambadrome and the Maracanã Stadium. This tour includes tour guide, tickets to the Christ the Redeemer and the Sugarloaf, Buffet lunch and round-trip transportation.

Football - or soccer, if you prefer - is part of the Brazilian life. We love to watch the games and share experiences with complete strangers that get together for one purpose: support their team on the field. The Maracanã Stadium is considered our temple and a sacred place for those who enjoy a great game. We can take pictures outside of the Stadium and share stories about our favorite matches.

All in one tour, great day out

Fantastic tour which gives you everything in one trip if you are short on time! Tour guide Monica and driver Luciano were very professional and looked after us from start to finish. As it was carnival season it was much busier than normal but we expected this. Monica was very flexible and let people exit tour as and when. Lunch was great and provided a great mix of local food.

She was in total control even in the places where there were so many people and we had to stay in long lines. She had so much good information on the things we visited and we passed with the bus. I really recommend the trip and the guide.

Safe, efficient and comprehensive way to tour the best Rio has to offer

Go with a group! For your own safety. Please read..... I've travelled to most European Capitals, all over the South Pacific, South East Asia and North America and Rio was our last stop of a 2 month South American tour. This tour was really great. It moved us safely and efficiently to Rio's most beautiful sites. We had zero issues with the language and the tour company arrived and departed on time. We were delighted by the sights and it was a very efficient way to see this beautiful city. Unfortunately, it built confidence that Rio was safe. It's not!! The day after the tour, we set out to navigate a few sites on our own. On one street a deranged drug addict came right for me. On another beautiful public square in the Old Centre, my phone was stolen right out of my hands by a passing motorcyclist as I was standing outside a church looking up a city map. He actually had the gall to look back and taunt me as he tore away on his high speed motorcycle. These guys are pros. The police even admitted this happens all the time. Such a sad memory this will leave for me. Stick to the tours. This one was stellar.
