Itinerary

  • Arenal Hanging Bridges

    9 high and very long bridges connected by 2 miles of trails taking you through the lush jungle while getting you close to the animal rich tree canopy with the mighty Arenal volcano on the background.

    2 hours 30 minutes

  • Mirador El Silencio

    On this part of the tour you get very close to the mighty Arenal volcano. We start our hike at a wall of lava rocks left there by the 1968 mega eruption. From this point you go up the stairs and trails that take us over wide fields of lava. Under the shadow of the Arenal we keep climbing till we reach a panoramic viewpoint. Besides the volcano you see the Arenal lake, the surrounding jungle and the northern lowlands. Hiking down we pass more tropical forest giving us a chance of seeing more wildlife.

  • La Fortuna Waterfall

    we take you on a bumpy 3mile ride towards the panoramic Peñas Blancas viewpoint. Overlooking a jungel covered canyon we see two huge waterfalls in the distance, the Peñas blancas waterfall and, the destination of our hike,.. the impressive catarata La Fortuna. Hiking down a jungle trail we need to pass a high and narrow hanging bridge to continue. Down at he pool of the fall you can swim in its fresh water or just relax for about 45minutes. Having hiked back up we stop by a village of the Maleku Indians. They talk about they hisory and culture in their Palenke. At this beautifull Ecological park we will also have a very nice lunch. Atound the lunch area there are butterfly and frog gardens that you can go and check out.

My family of 6 is traveling w my sisters family of 3. 9 out of 9 LOVED this trip. Chris Peña and Juan Rasta are excellent guides - extremely knowledgeable about the geography, plants and animals of the various areas we visited. They were safety conscious, courteous, patient and funny. While the day was long, it wasn’t exhausting and we were glad to see a large number of sights. Rec this tour wo hesitation.

Our tour guides Carlos and Joseph were the BEST!!! This tour took in so much of what La Fortuna has to offer and all in one day with a very nice hot springs ending.

Absolutely a blast! Catalina and Christian were the A team! Both so knowledgeable and experienced. I absolutely love that these guides speak with knowledge and education about the wildlife, not just experience and repeating what others have said. They gave a beautiful history and explanation of so many different aspects of the La Fortuna nature and biodiversity. We had a fantastic time on this tour. The meal was delicious. The flow of the day from stop to stop was done well and on time. We had enough time to see and do many things. So many pictures and unforgettable memories. Highly recommend this tour!!!!

This tour was the perfect tour. You get to experience so much in one day. Our tour guide Marcos was super knowledgeable and an awesome person. It’s definitely a long day, but totally worth it!
