Overview

A hike loved by locals of all ages; an itinerary that allows you to discover breathtaking landscapes, mysterious boulders and pendulous stones and a village with an ancient heart, walking and experiencing also a funicular and a boat. You will enjoy a delicious lunch in a typical Baita on the hills. Nature, mysteries, local food and original means of transport: a perfect itinerary for slow families and groups who want to discover our beautiful Lake combining relax and fun. IMPORTANT: due to maintenance works, the pier of Torno will be closed from November 2023 to May 2024. The boat ride will be replaced by a bus ride from Torno to Como.

Our guide Fabia was wonderful. The hike was beautiful with lovely babbling brooks and scenic views of the lake and Como. Stopped for lunch along the way and the hostess was charming . Highly recommend this tour.

Our guide for the day was Michale and he was amazing! The trail was stunning and not too difficult although you need to be careful in a few places. Beginning hikers would be more than comfortable on this, just be sure to wear sturdy tennis shoes at a minimum.

Personally, I love hiking in the forest & mountains. The scenery is beautiful & serene. The trail is pretty well marked, but I would not have wanted to do it the first time without a guide. Plus, we wouldn’t have found the amazing crotto for lunch on our own! Highly recommend, but not for people with any kind of mobility issues as the hike was over 10km & at times challenging to maneuver over the rocks and waterfalls due to recent rainfall.

We loved our guide Daniele from the start - knowledgable with a great sense of humor. Up the funicular to Brunate, then a moderately challenging hike (a little off camber and some storm washout) along the old roman paths, stopping for an amazing lunch in Piazzaga. We descended from lunch to the charming village of Torno where we picked up a boat back to Como.
