Make time for this tour

This was a wonderful learning experience from start to finish. If you visit Munich, make time for this important experience. Our guide, Eric, was incredibly knowledgeable and taught us so much throughout the entire tour. He was able to provide meaningful detail that allowed a deep understanding of the concentration camp and the history surrounding it. The tour runs from 9 am to 2:30 so plan accordingly. The transportation is part of the tour and very efficient.

Dachau and the start of the war

Extremely knowledgeable tour guide. Explained these 12 years in detail but in a way that we were able to receive the information of such atrocities without shutting down due to emotional reactivity. Her discussions were to the point, as a matter of fact and this helped all of (ages 14 -48) be able to process the events that took place. She gave perspectives from different viewpoints which also assisted us with gaining a bigger picture of the political climate of the 1930s and 40’s. This is a must visit place. We all agreed that being there during winter helped us feel a fraction of the coldness the prisoners must have been feeling.

Tremendous tour of one of the darkest periods of human history. Hard to describe some of the feelings during this tour but at dinner with my son was a topic of conversation that probably would not come about otherwise.

Mat was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and personable. He went to great lengths to put the camp into historical context. Superb tour, highly recommend as a day trip if you are staying in Munich and have the time to see something that will truly be impactful.
