Overview

Jump with me into a time machine and travel 1200 years back in time. My name is Abdou Rahim. I was born and raised in the historical car-free medina of Fes. I'm an MA holder, an ex-teacher and a Professional Handicrafts expert. Fes is the Handicrafts capital of Morocco. That's why a lot of tourists prefer to do their shopping in this beautiful city. This tour was absolutely the highlight of our 4 days in Fes. Abdou was a delightful guide and you can tell he really enjoys his work! He made this tour not only fun but so educational! Once he told us the “secrets” of navigating the Medina, we were confident in getting around on our own. He went above and beyond and assisted us with purchasing a tea kettle and even leading us to the Restaurant Nejjarine since it’s a bit tricky to find for a first timer.

Extremely knowledgeable about the history of the medina, he managed to share his knowledge in an engaging and entertaining way, with an excellent sense of humor. He led us through a thousand years of history, from the top to the center of the medina, making the experience unforgettable. Unlike most guides in Fez and other tourist cities in Morocco, he didn't pressure us to buy anything or accept sales offers. He was also very helpful, helping my mother find a store in the middle of the medina where she could buy a simple hair elastic. I would recommend his services a thousand times over!
