Overview

Visit a Nubian Village community on Sohail Island on a 5-hour, small-group tour from Aswan that includes round-trip transfer from your hotel or cruise ship, a boat ride, and tea in a traditional Nubian house. Itinerary

  • Travel To Egypt - Aswan (Pass By)

    Begin with pickup at your centrally-located hotel or cruise ship by our Representative  to start your tour to visit Nubian Village. Transfer to a jetty on the Nile River, where you’ll board a boat for west Sohail. Depending on river conditions and the weather, you’ll travel in a traditional felucca sail boat, or in a modern motorboat.  Take in views of the Nile riverbanks on the way to west Sohail, passing Elephantine Island along the way.  Disembark on west Sohail. and visit a traditional Nubian house to learn about the history and culture of the Nubian people over a glass of welcome tea.  After your time at the house, take a walk to explore the Nubian Village on your own, strolling through brightly-painted villages, and chatting with the locals.  At the end, meet back up at the boat jetty, where you’ll begin the return trip to Aswan.  This tour include with drop-off at your hotel or cruise ship at roughly.

Transfer to a jetty on the Nile River, where you’ll board a boat for Sohail Island. Depending on river conditions and the weather, you’ll travel in a traditional felucca sailboat, or in a modern motorboat. Take in views of the Nile riverbanks on the way to Sohail Island, passing Elephantine Island along the way. Disembark on Sohail Island, and visit a traditional Nubian house to learn about the history and culture of the Nubian people over a glass of welcome tea. Good activity in leisure time

We had a great time with Ahmed on our Nubian excursion. We had a great boat ride thru Nile to the village followed by Nubian house overview. The main attraction was the pet crocodiles. I recommend this activity if you have leisure time.

Ahmed was so wonderful today and made sure we made the most of our time. We had a great day, he went out of his way to help us from start to finish and really made the effort to get my two year old to enjoy herself too. Really glad we went!

Mo took me on a fascinating trip to the Nubian island. It was like sailing away to a far and distant land of an ancient culture, but without the distance! Mo taught me all about Nubian life,m, and he patiently took many great pictures on my phone! Mo is a great guide!
