Overview

With admission to Grouse Mountain, just north of downtown Vancouver, you can enjoy  panoramic  views  as  you  travel aboard the Skyride – one of North America’s largest aerial tramways.  Year-round, you can enjoy our Mountaintop Chalet, which includes great dining options, an HD Theatre in the Sky, and two gift shops for souvenirs and clothing. Currently, in our "between-season" period, Grouse offers the above activities as well as our grizzly bear habitat with accompanying Ranger Talks. Ranger talks about our resident owls are also available! In snowy winter, enjoy adventures including the stunning Light Walk, Sliding Zone, outdoor skating pond, or give snowshoeing a try on an array of trails.  Skates, sleds and snowshoes are available for rent (additional cost). During the holiday period, Grouse Mountain transforms into Vancouver's North Pole - see real live reindeer, stroll through the magical Light Walk and enjoy the festive décor.

  • Grouse Mountain Skyride

    Step onto the iconic red Skyride tram to be whisked towards the Peak Chalet during a scenic 1.6 km ride up the lush and forested slopes of Grouse Mountain. Take in panoramic views of the city skyline, the ships in the harbour, the Strait of Georgia, and even Vancouver Island. Please note that most outdoor activities are seasonal, and we recommend checking the Grouse Mountain website to see daily operational notices and hours. A vast outdoor playground awaits at the top. During the winter, you can take advantage of snowshoeing, ice skating, and sledding options, and take a nice stroll through the beautiful Light Walk. During the summer, you can visit the Mountain’s two resident Grizzly bears, check out the Lumberjack Show or Birds in Motion Demonstration, ride the Peak Chairlift, and stroll through the forested trail of the Eco Walk. Both seasons offer incredible views, skyride access, entry to the Peak Chalet, the Theatre in the sky, and great dining and shopping opportunities!

Fantastic team-building experience at Grouse Mountain

We recently had a fantastic team-building experience at Grouse Mountain with a group booking. Laura was incredibly helpful throughout the process, especially with the changes we made leading up to the event. We opted for the package deal that included snowshoeing and fondue, and it exceeded our expectations. The snowshoeing was a fun and unique way to explore the mountain, and the fondue dinner was a perfect way to end the day. Our tour guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience even more enjoyable. It was a wonderful time for team bonding, and we highly recommend Grouse Mountain for any group or team-building activities!

Winter Wonderland !

So glad we booked this experience on our short trip to Vancouver! We took an Uber to the mountain from our stay downtown which was simple. After a quick exchange of our voucher for tickets at Guest Services, we rode the new 8-person Gondolas up the mountain to the chalet for an excellent lunch with poutine and boozy hot chocolate. As non-skiiers, we enjoyed that there were other activities available like ice skating and a sleigh ride! The lightwalk was closed when we got there due to the icy conditions, but we enjoyed the scenery and softly falling snow so much that we didn't mind. After that, we took in a few short films in the movie theater and rode the gondola back down. It was very simple to get an Uber back downtown as a few were in the area. Overall, we really enjoyed the day and would absolutely recommend!

Beautiful place, amazing panorama and nice transport via gondola. We approached the entrance by public transportation, to avoid the trafic and parking issue.

Snowy Day Trip

A lovely day trip to the snow - you can ice skate, ski, snowboard or sled. They have a great restaurant chalet on top as well. Just make sure to check the weather and dress accordingly!
