Look into a local Brugge... . This late afternoon city tour & photo workshop is focused on showing you the loveliest part of Brugge: The places lesser known and the delightful details they hold. . Your pro photographer & city guide Andy McSweeney will show you the local level of life through the quiet landscapes, details, and side streets as we most definitely escape the crowds on route to the windmills. . Casual smartphone to serious pro, all are welcome on this small group experience (4 guests max) to improve your photo results and discover the sweet side of an already magical place... from a fresh perspective. . Private tour? Book all 4 tickets for +1 hour (3hrs total) and 100% flexible start time/meeting point. . As THE original city tour and photography workshop since 2012, you'll discover Brugge through the perspective of working local pro photographer Andy McSweeney and improve your photography results without fail.

Itinerary

  • Burg Square

    We'll start from here after some very quick basics on camera advice and what to expect over the tour, also some warm up shots before hitting the quiet side of Brugge.

  • Jan Van Eyckplein

    One of the main stops early in this tour, we'll take some time to admire and shoot photos of the old port of Brugge, long dead for boat trade but still very alive for possibilities.

    Drink up the over 500 year old Cafe Vlissinghe through a photographer's eye as we get into the St Ana area...

  • Sint-Janshuismolen

    Where our tour concludes (after many more locations not listed here haha), the open spaces and peaceful surroundings of the windmills of Brugge. Perfect for further shooting after our time, also for nearby local cafes and restos.

  • Adornes Estate & Jerusalem Chapel (Pass By)

    Passing by the outside of the most preserved religious building in Brugge, Andy will offer you multiple options for a winning shot as well as a peek into the interior (thanks to his sample photos shared freely).

I took the "Hidden Brugge" tour and was very informative. Andy definitely knew his photography and local history of Brugge. He had good examples on his ipad and gave good suggestions and critique of pictures immediately taken.

Andy gave my wife and I an amazing tour of beautiful Brugge AND helped us capture some incredible and unique photos of the lesser known parts of town. We learned a little history from a local, got some photo tips, and had a lot of fun on this tour. Highly recommend.

One of the best ways to see and learn about Bruges. Andy’s photographer’s eye helps one see Bruges from perspectives that bring so much life to already beautiful venues. If you’re learning photography, you will find a wealth of information in the time that flies by and you will find you’ve taken some great photos. This was our second excursion with Andy and we hope it won’t be our last.

Booded a two hour session with Andy after spotting his brochure in our hotel. Best 60 Euros I spent in my 6 weeks in Europe. Thoroughly enjoyable, Andy was very helpful, made wonderful suggestions and thoughtful critique, as well as providing great locations in the quieter part of town. Helped me explore wide angle photography which I had previously tended to avoid.
