Taking this day tour in January was an incredible experience. The freezing temperatures added a crisp beauty to the snow-covered mountains and serene waters of Lake Como, creating postcard-worthy views. While it was unfortunate that about 90% of the shops were closed due to the off-season, I knew this would be the case before my trip. The trade-off, however, was well worth it—no crowds at all. The emptiness made the experience feel peaceful and intimate, allowing us to truly soak in the charm of the region.
Our guide, Lisa (if I remember correctly), was a highlight of the tour. She was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating stories about the villa owners along the lake and pointing out famous movie filming locations, which added a fun and unique element to the day.
Overall, I wouldn’t change a thing about this tour. The stunning scenery, the calm atmosphere, and Lisa’s expertise made it an unforgettable experience. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting in the winter who doesn’t mind sacrificing some shopping for unmatched tranquility.
