Itinerary

Unique activity in Bacalar where you will enjoy the most beautiful places to swim, snorkel, and spot wild flora and fauna. Our departure is from the DayTour Bacalar dock within the Casa China Bacalar hotel facilities, there you will receive instructions and the necessary equipment to start your 4.5-hour adventure. Visit the Pirate Canal where you will swim in warm and crystal clear waters. Navigate through the Cenote de la Bruja, over 100 meters deep. Sail south away from the crowds where you will swim in pristine waters while we prepare a delicious barbecue on board the boat. Enjoy delicious skewers with an ice cold beer or natural fruit water. Before returning to the dock, stop at Bird Island where depending on the season you can see migratory and endemic birds. After your activity, you can continue enjoying the lagoon by kayak (available throughout your stay in Bacalar)

The excursion was really amazing we loved it ! The water of the lagoon was clear and beautiful. The boat was nice and clean and the barbecue was very good ! We recommand at 100% Special mention to Banda he was really kind, fun and patient. He made our day the BEST day of our vacations. Muchas gracias Banda !!

Just had an incredible boat trip with Bando in Bacalar! From start to finish, it was an amazing experience. The views were absolutely stunning, and Bando made sure we had a fantastic time. We enjoyed delicious food and ice-cold beers as we cruised around the beautiful lagoon, taking in all the sights. The atmosphere was super fun and laid-back, and Bando’s knowledge of the area added a special touch to the trip. If you’re looking for a great day on the water with good vibes, amazing food, and unforgettable views, definitely book with Bando!

Perfect Activity

We sailed with Capitan Aladin on Que Que Que pontoon boat for the Private BBQ Laguna Tour. It was the highlight of our trip. We had such a great time. We were two couples and the boat was very comfortable. Aladin told us the history on all of the stops that we did and allowed us plenty of time to swim and enjoy the water. The food was amazing, so flavorful and fresh. He cooked shrimp and steak skewers on the grill while we swam. We also had guacamole with totopes and jicama with lime and tajin. Plenty of very cold beers which were perfect for the heat. Aladin also gave us recommendations for a few activities that we asked about. We loved it and definitely recommend doing this specific tour with the bbq included, price point is excellent. We do recommend taking water shoes if for the portion of the rapids. You have to walk upstream in the water for a little bit to then float down a small portion of the rapids. There are a lot of rocks and uneven bottom and having shoes would make it more comfortable.

Best day in bacalar with Captain Jose and his boat tour

The tour with DayTour Bacalar Captain Jose was nothing short of incredible. We would highly recommend Jose to be your captain!! Jose's expertise and warm demeanor set the perfect tone for our journey. He guided us to the lagoon's most stunning spots and shared fascinating insights about the formation of this breathtaking scenery. According to Jose, the lagoon's beauty is the result of collapsing cenotes, and the water's purity is maintained by ancient stromatolites and thriving mangroves. He explained how the varying depths of the cenotes create the lagoon's mesmerizing seven colors. Under Jose's guidance, the sight of the lagoon beneath a clear sky was so awe-inspiring that we found ourselves holding our breath in sheer wonder. From the start, Jose provided refreshing drinks and played relaxing music, making the entire trip so serene that it felt as though our souls were drifting between heaven and the lagoon, indistinguishable from one another. After our second swim in the lagoon, we were starving, and Jose’s timing was impeccable. He served us perfectly grilled skewers and guacamole, thoughtfully catered to our dietary preferences. Everything was just perfect. As we enjoyed our meal, we basked under the dynamic, ever-changing sunset that painted the sky in hues of gold and crimson. This breathtaking display was one of the trip's most magical moments, perfectly capping off an unforgettable day. **Tip**: it wasn't easy to find place to exchange money so we felt terribly sorry for not bringing enough cash for tipping. It would nice to bring some cash for that. Captain Jose truly goes above and beyond to make the experience extraordinary, and a tip is a great way to show the appreciation for his exceptional service.
