Overview

This tour already includes all the tickets and payment of taxes. Explore one of the most beautiful landscapes offered by the Yucatan Peninsula. We take a walk in the company of a certified guide through the paths through the pink pools, including access to the park and the viewpoint. Later we will visit Cancunito beach which is an impressive unspoilt beach described by many as one of the most beautiful in Yucatan, here you will have free time to swim and take photos. Then you will get to know the Natural Park of the Río Lagartos Reserve through the boat tour, this area is inhabited by beautiful flamingos, crocodiles, eagles, seagulls and many other species of the region. You will visit an amazing beach to exfoliate your skin with clay. At the end of the boat ride, it is time to relax and prepare for a delicious culinary experience, unique in Rio Lagartos in the Maleconcito restaurant.

Itinerary

Viajes Colibrí Yucatán TOURS

This is the first meeting point where we pick up travelers for this tour. Departure from here is punctual at 07:00 am (with a maximum tolerance time of 10 minutes). Later we go to the next meeting point which is the Santa Ana park and we finish at the third meeting point which is the Fiesta Americana hotel. Before leaving Mérida we stop at a store to buy water and snacks for the road. Once we have everyone on board and after making the stop at the store, we begin our journey to the first point of this incredible tour. The time to get to the first point, which is Las Coloradas, is 3 hours on the road, this is where these fascinating pink salt pools are located.

Las Coloradas

Here you take a walk in the company of a certified guide through the paths that cross the pink pools where you can enjoy a dream landscape and capture your best photos and videos. It already includes the entrance ticket to the park, environmental tax, access to the viewpoint and support with taking photos.

It is an impressive virgin beach rated by many as one of the most beautiful in Yucatán, here you will have free time to swim and take photos.

Rio Lagartos

You will get to know the Río Lagartos Reserve Natural Park through the boat tour that lasts 2 hours, each boat has a capacity of maximum 6 people, they are provided with a life jacket and binoculars for bird watching. This area is inhabited by beautiful pink flamingos, crocodiles, eagles, seagulls and many other species of the region. You will visit an incredible beach to exfoliate your skin with mud and see the benefits of a rejuvenating treatment in the most relaxing part of this exciting tour.

Maleconcito Gourmet

The boat tour ends at the dock in front of the Maleconcito Gourmet restaurant where we have 1 hour to eat a delicious dish to choose from the menu provided by the guide. Drinks are not included in the restaurant.

Viajes Colibrí Yucatán TOURS

We finish this tour at the same meeting point where we picked you up in the morning, starting with the last one which is the Fiesta Americana hotel and ending at the Viajes Colibrí office. The travel time back to Mérida is 2 and a half hours from Río Lagartos.

Good trip, was going to several places and our English guide Michelle was translating everything to English. Had a fun day and saw many birds like pelicans and flamingos and also crocodile. Can recommend this trip

Excellent Tour and Tour Guide

We took the tour from Merida and had a fantastic time. We love flamingos and were actually surprised to see the large number in the salt water ponds. Greg, our guide, was constantly engaging with everyone on the tour, providing information from a Mayan point of view, which was so very interesting and made the entire exchange so much more personal. And to top it off, he was so entertaining. I hope it's understood that when I say he was a comedian, I mean it in the best way. He was very fluent in English, Spanish (of course) and even threw in a little Mayan occasionally. Very Cool! The pink salt ponds and the salt making process was nothing short of amazing...with flamingos thrown in as an extra. We enjoyed the beach stop even though we didn't get in the water, being by the water is always refreshing. The boat trip was a good chance to see the wildlife living along the coastal the areas of the Yucatan...including flamingos again! Everyone enjoyed the mud bath and the restaurant food at the end of the tour was fantastic. Delicious food. We enjoyed everything we ate and so did everyone at our table. We highly recommend the tour and this tour company. We live here in Merida and are already looking into our next tour.

A living Dream world!

My Husband and I, just got back from a 2 week trip to Yucatan; where we got married and honeymooned. This tour was one of the last activities we did, prior to our departure back home. This was easily one of my favorite, and most beautiful experiences we did! There are 4 different activities conducted on this tour. 1.) is Las Coloradas 2) Play Cancunito 3.) Rio Lagartos 4.) eating at a delicious restaurant. It is a whole entire day worth of activities. So be prepared. Get plenty of rest night before, and a good breakfast to start. Each activity was like something out of a dream! The sights were one to behold, absolutely incredible! We even got to feed some raccoons, see a crocodile, and flamingos in there natural habitat. The tour guides were absolutely wonderful! Juan & Diego really made this one of the best tours we’ve ever done’! We met other wonderful travelers on the tour too. Don’t miss out, and book this tour ASAP!

Good tour and plenty of wildlife

We had a great day out on this tour - it was a shame we could not visit the beach due to the murky waters as a result of the hurricanes in the US - but the other locations were amazing and we go to see a lot of wildlife at Rio Lagartos.
