Combine the International Antarctic Centre with its little Blue Penguins, Antarctic Storm in the Ice and Snow room, 4-D Movie and Hagglund ride over a purpose made course, together with a half day city tour of Christchurch taking in not only the damage to the city by several earthquakes in 2010 and 2011 and the rebuild currently taking place but also the remaining historic landmarks and the existing beauty of this picturesque city.

Antarctic experience was great. Our driver, Scotty, was very knowledgeable on the history of Lyttelton and Christchurch.

The ride on the Hagglund ice-vehicle was very exciting and the Antarctic blizzard was so real feeling that I am glad that I don't have to experience it like the workers do that actually live on Antarctica.

This tour was fantastic with a great tour guide. Lots of great information was provided. He gave some great ideas for lunch and plenty of time to have lunch and do some shopping before having to move on to other places. The Antarctic Center was great. I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to learn more about the area and see the sights of Christchurch.

Great trip had everything from great views great tour through the newly built Christchurch and a must see is the Antarctic Centre. Scotty our guide was so informative about everything.

Joseph was our guide for the great day we had in Christchurch. He gave us lots of insights about this wonderful city where we began the drive with expansive views of the area and continued into the city. A stop at Mona Vale gave us a chance to stroll through the beautiful gardens. His commentary on the earthquake destruction and rebuilding of the city was informative and interesting. We enjoyed the city center for a lunch break where we had all sorts of places to choose from to please each person's tastes. There was even a little time to do some shopping before we met back at the van. Our visit to the Antarctic Center was a real treat. Our group tried each experience and wandered throughout the building at our leisure. Glad we chose this excursion because the day was well-spent. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
