This is the best wine tour in Christchurch/Canterbury. You will visit some of the best wineries in North Canterbury on the all-inclusive Waipara Wine Experience wine tour with Giles Tours. This tour includes tutored tastings at 3 boutique wineries and a delicious winery platter lunch. Departing Christchurch at 10.30am, you’ll taste a quality selection of wines in the up-and-coming Waipara wine region, including stops at Pegasus Bay, Torlesse Winery and Terrace Edge/Georges Road wineries. Learn from your knowledgeable guide about Waipara’s unique micro-climate as you taste a range of world class red and white wines. This is a shared tour but we only need a minimum of 2 people to run the tour with a maximum of 6 per tour. For private tours or a personal guided tour visit the operators website.

Our guide/driver Giles was very knowledgeable and the 3 wineries we visited represented a good cross section of the industry. The vehicle was clean & very comfortable.

This was an excellent tour. My husband & I had booked Giles
Tour with lunch for our first full day in NZ. He picked us up from our hotel & we headed out to the Waipara Valley. I reserved the tour before we left the US and am so glad I did. Giles was a great guide & very knowledgeable. He took us to 3 wineries. We were allowed to help select which wineries but decided to go with his recommendations. Were very happy we did. We did Pegasus Bay & Georges Road. Plus had our lunch with wine pairings at Greystone. BTW Georges Road was our favorite.

Such a lovely day with Giles and Waipara wine. He picked us up in the morning and with 4 others we drove the short distance to the region. Giles had much to share and was very informative. We visited three wineries and each one was unique. This small group was perfect for the experience. I highly recommend Giles!
