Overview

Are you ready to embark on a fantastic tour to explore the wonders of the Mekong River? The Mekong River flows through six countries - Tibet, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. It's known as Cuu Long, or Nine Dragons, a nod to the river's nine tributaries in Vietnam. The Mekong Delta is a unique floating habitat where you can immerse yourself in ancient houses, vibrant markets, and diverse cultures along the estuaries and canals. Get ready for an exciting stop at Kimmy Chocolate, where you can indulge in delicious handcrafted chocolates made from local cocoa in Tien Giang. The tour includes a fun cooking class, a scenic kayaking adventure, and a leisurely bike ride around the charming village. It's going to be a fantastic experience!

    At 7:30 AM, our experienced tour guide will pick you up from the hotel and transport you to the stunning Mekong Delta. The 2.5-hour van ride will offer picturesque views of beautiful villages and lush green rice fields from both sides of the vehicle's windows. Upon arrival in Tien Giang province, we will stop at the Kimmy Chocolate Manufacture, where you can witness local farmers carefully tending to cocoa trees and handcrafting chocolate.

  • Cai Be

    Embrace the local culture at Cai Be, where you can watch locals making traditional goodies like pop rice cakes, rice wines, rice papers, and coconut candies. Hop back on our boat to head to another beautiful spot. Here, we'll cruise on a sampan boat through fruit orchards, apple mangrove trees, and coconut groves. Visit a local orchard to taste the abundance of tropical fruits, listen to traditional folk songs, visit a bee farm, and savor hot honey tea. Don't miss a fun cooking class and a delicious lunch at a charming local restaurant. Enjoy mouthwatering Mekong spring rolls, crispy Giant Elephant Ear Fish, and fresh fruits. You can also kick back in a hammock, kayaking, or bike around the village. Finally, we'll return to Ho Chi Minh City and drop you off at your hotel around 6:30 PM.

We booked the tour one month before our departure from the USA. We were very surprised with the amount of time spent on the tour and places we’d never see on our own. KEN was our magnificent tour guide. He was funny, friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. He made sure we were always comfortable. Visits we made were to a chocolate factory, local market, boat tour, visit to a restaurant stop where we enjoyed singing by locals, a factory where they made popped rice treats and coconut confections, a boat ride on a traditional Vietnamese canoe and a fabulous lunch!!
