Overview

This Messina tour from the port is one of the Messina shore excursions that will take you to explore the legendary beauty of the natural side of Messina Sicily: you will reach the mariner villages, the lakes of Ganzirri and Capo Peloro, located in northeastern Sicily. You can admire the majestic view of the Strait of Messina between Sicily and the Italian mainland. In the summertime, you will be able to see the swordfishing activity by typical boats named felucas. The second part of the Messina tour will continue in the downtown city with a visit to the Cathedral and the Bell Tower. You will discover the Arab–norman style of Catalani’s church, the Sanctuary of Montalto, and the Temple of Christ the King with a spectacular view overlooking the Strait of Messina and the port. During the Messina excursion, you will also admire the monument of “Madonnina del Porto” and the Fountain of Neptune.

Highly recommend this tour. Our guide Chiara was excellent. She lead a good steady pace and was very easy to follow and understand. We loved this tour very much! She explained the areas in detail and we learned many details of the area. The Granita and Canoli were superb!

Exceptional Experience

The BEST excursion we had on our 2 week vacation. Carmelo, our guide was outstanding! He gave us a great history of Sicily as we drove to our destinations and even provided some local pastries along with bottled water. No other excursion provided water! Everything was exceptional. Easy to find our tour and perfectly timed to provide a comfortable and not rushed experience. The boat trip to the Blue Grotto was the topper! Stopping to provide time to swim while enjoying a sip of Prosecco and another cookie was unexpected. We highly recommend this tour company and especially this tour.
