Overview

Snorkel at world-famous Molokini, a small crescent shaped extinct volcanic crater with crystal clear water that is home to more than 250 fish species. Then enjoy Turtle Arches, a beautiful reef known for its underwater lava arches and frequented by gentle green sea turtles. All of your snorkeling gear and flotation devices are provided, plus plenty of encouragement and support if you’re new to snorkeling. Wide swim steps and a water slide make it easy and fun to get right in and explore both amazing locations.

Excellent crew, food and education

The crew are simply amazing. Fun, friendly, and the most knowledgeable people you'll meet on marine life. We had a wonderful time snorkeling the crater and turtle town, and got to see some great whale activity along the way. The staff could not have been better. If you want to take a snorkeling tour on Maui, this is the one.

Book the trip! They will work with you and reschedule you for the perfect weather day on the water. They bring you to two separate spots to snuba or snorkel. The captain and crew are nice, knowledgeable of the area and sea, and you can tell they love what they do!

Incredible snorkeling trip

Amazing experience! The snorkeling around Molokini was mind blowing. The water was crystal clear and I saw so many different fishes. The staff onboard were great. The whole trip was very well organized. They were able to tell me about the fish I saw, they made a good lunch, and gave us tips about how to snorkel. I also think the organization's conservation goals are admirable

We had an amazing time on the Molokini Crater and Sea Turtle Arches Snorkeling Tour with the Pacific Whale Foundation! The snorkeling was incredible, and the crew was top-notch—extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and approachable. The captain kept us entertained with some fun dad jokes along the way, which added to the relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. While we only spotted one sea turtle (apparently unusual for them), it didn’t take away from the fantastic experience. The food they served was surprisingly good, with several vegan-friendly options—a pleasant surprise! The drinks were also excellent, rounding out a perfect day on the water. Overall, I highly recommend this tour if you’re looking for a fun, well-run snorkeling trip. We’ll definitely be back!

Had a fabulous day with Captain Doug and his team. The snorkeling at Molokini was great for the first-timers in our group as well as the one who was experienced. The crew made sure we were outfitted with everything we needed. By the time we got to turtle arches, it was pretty choppy and no one stayed in the water long. But lunch was great and there was plenty for everyone. On the way back to the harbor, Captain Doug spotted some turtles and stopped so we could all see them from the boat. Gorgeous weather and a fun day for everyone. Thanks especially to Enesyia who was so much fun and answered all of our questions. My only frustration is that we couldn't understand anything that was being said over the sound system. Evidently you need to be upstairs (and outside) to hear well, and we were hoping to avoid sunburns by staying downstairs. Highly recommend renting the snorkel wetsuit shirts. The water was a wee bit chilly! Lovely day!
