Overview

This is a great tour for those who only want to spend a half-day out or are short on time. We visit two areas on this trip, Daintree River and Mossman Gorge. We begin with a drive along the Captain Cook Highway, on the way to the Daintree River, and share a little history along the way. Here, we board a cruise along the Daintree River, looking out for local wildlife, including the estuarine crocodile, snakes, birds, frogs, and more. After the Wildlife Cruise, we enjoy morning tea with Lamingtons and tea/coffee. Once in Mossman Gorge National Park, we conduct an interpretive walk along an elevated boardwalk. Weather dependent, we can enjoy a dip in the crystal-clear rainforest stream, whilst being surrounded by the beautiful and healing Mossman Gorge rainforest. What a memorable way to spend your morning!

    You will board a cruise along the Daintree River, looking out for all manner of creatures, including the estuarine crocodile, snakes, birds, frogs, and more.

  • Mossman Gorge

    We arrive at Mossman Gorge, which is the southern part of the Daintree Rainforest. Your guide will take you on a walk and share their knowledge of the local flora and fauna and answer any questions you may have. This is an easy 500m return walk mostly along boardwalks. You can enjoy a swim in the crystal-clear rainforest stream, which can be quite refreshing, whilst being surrounded by the beautiful and healing Mossman Gorge rainforest. What a great way to spend a morning!

World class experience.

Our tour guide made the trip. Our guide was Cameron. His knowledge of the rain forest, plant life, animal life and the history of the country was wildly impressive. Great energy and sense of humor on top of broad and deep knowledge. The company structured the tour in a way that allowed great experiences in the rain forest coupled with the right kind of breaks - it was a ten hour tour. The pace was right. Worth investing in a small group tour. We had four people today and it was personal with all questions answered. Fantastic.

We had a great experience during this tour. Unfortunately for us, the crocs were not out however we did spot on female nesting. Mick and Georgia did an awesome job guiding us through the Daintree, very knowledgeable. Highly recommended

Wow! what a wonderful half day tour! Got picked up by Cam and immediately felt welcome and comfortable. Cam was very accommodating and very knowledgeable of the whole area. We got to meet the lovely Erika who training, she also knew a lot about the area as a local and was very friendly. We spotted 4 crocodiles on the River Cruise even though this weather makes them hide away. Highlight for me was the beauty of the rainforest, and swimming in the Mossman Gorge. So refreshing and relaxing, we didn’t want to leave. Highly recommend this half day tour if you don’t want to be out all day. Will definitely return and do this Tour again.

I thoroughly enjoyed the trip to Daintree the swimming hole was beautiful. Loved the hike through the forest. I would recommend this tour.

Staff were very friendly, helpful and friendly. Loved the commentary from the driver of the bus and on the river boat.
