    The Gateway of India is an arch monument built during the 20th century in Bombay, India. The monument was erected to commemorate the landing of King George V and Queen Mary at Apollo Bunder on their visit to India in 1911.

    The Oval Maidan is a large Grade I recreational ground situated in South Mumbai, India. It is so named because of its oval shape and is situated just south of Churchgate. It is a popular recreation ground, with the most popular sports played there being cricket and football. The ground measures 22 acres in area. Political rallies and religious functions are banned in the maidan.

    Built in 1833, this Grade I heritage building is among Mumbai’s oldest public buildings, having served as its Town Hall, Court, as well as University Hall before the Victorian structures were built to house them. Today, it houses the Asiatic Library and the Central Library, a repository of rare books and artefacts. The project involved structural consolidation of the roof, structural repairs and façade restoration of the Neo Classical building which is an icon of Mumbai.

    Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, formerly Prince of Wales Museum of Western India is the main museum in Mumbai. It was founded in the early years of the 20th century by prominent citizens of Bombay, with the help of the government, to commemorate the visit of the then prince of Wales. It is located in the heart of South Mumbai near the Gateway of India. The museum was renamed after Shivaji, the founder of Maratha Empire.

Designed by British architect Frederick William Stevens, the building blends elements of Victorian Italianate Gothic Revival and classic Indian architecture. In 2004, UNESCO named the terminus a World Heritage Site.
