You’ll walk through the monumental portico, the so-called Krypte, which has been crossed by countless ancient youths dreaming to meet glory and you’ll step in the celebrated stadium to listen to the riveting stories of real and mythical athletic events tied to the history of Olympia. Temple of Zeus: Now it’s time to experience the imposing Temple of Zeus! Once home to the gold and ivory statue of Zeus, listed among the 7 wonders of the ancient world, the temple will generously treat you with wonderful stories about Centaurs and Lapiths, as well as the founding myth of the Olympic games!

Very well presented archeological site and museums. The small town itself is lovely. A number of local hotels to choose from, we stayed in Hotel Europa which was fantastic.

Our driver, Akis, was great! Very accommodating, pleasant, professional and most of all, a safe driver! He picked us up on time, gave us plenty of time in Olympia and returned us safely to Athens. I highly recommend Akis!

It was very informative and very helpful to understand what you were seeing and where all the sites where. Very interesting stories too. It's a very good choice if you dont have the money to pay for a your guide.
