Overview

We will take you on a tour of the city that will touch on some of the historical antecedents to modern Saigon as well as delving into some of the more everyday traditional lifestyle of the Saigonese. Our guide will introduce to you how they grow the rice, how they catch a fish but in Saigon city (This is unseen part of Saigon). Enjoy lunch at local restaurant with local specialty. After that we'll head to center and discover history and culture of Saigon with: • Local Wet Market • The Jade Emperor temple • City Hall • Opera House • Central Post Office • Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral • War Museum or Reunification Palace (Presidential Palace). • The CIA building in Saigon: Saigon Helicopter Photo + Our tour itinerary is flexible and changeable to make you have local most experiences. + All private tours are approximately 9-10 hours or longer depending on your time.   • Binh Quoi Village

    This is one of Real Local Area for tourist who want to see local life. This place is very famous with local people for picnic and fishing at weekend. You will see how they grow the rice, how they catch a fish but in Saigon city (This is an unseen part of Saigon).

  • Emperor Jade Pagoda

    You will find this pagoda in District 1 one of the oldest pagoda in Saigon, which is roughly a ten minute drive from the city centre.

  • The Independence Palace

    The palace is like a time capsule frozen in 1975. You can see two of the original tanks used in the capture of the palace parked in the grounds. Independence Palace was the home and workplace of the French Governor of Cochin-China. It has lush gardens, secret rooms, antique furniture, and a command bunker. It's still in use to host important occasions in Ho Chi Minh, including APEC summits.

  • Ben Thanh Market

    Ben Thanh Market in Ho Chi Minh City's District 1 is a great place to buy local handicrafts, branded goods, Vietnamese art and other souvenirs. Here, you’ll find eating stalls inside the market where you can get a taste of hawker-style Vietnamese cuisine or simply cool off with a cold drink when the bargaining becomes too much. The market is big, difficult to navigate at times and certainly best avoided during the hottest part of the day but all the same its well worth a look.

    A must see in Saigon: Originally constructed as a hotel in 1898 by French architect Gardes, it now serves as a city hall and one of the city’s most iconic landmarks.

Friendly and helpful

Kelvin (tour guide) and Tho (driver) were super friendly, greeted us at the gate bright and early to start our tour in a comfortable SUV. We were able to personalize our tour to drive by the area where my mom used to live in Cholon and spend extra time at the market to look for Vietnamese fresh fruit and dessert. We were able to do a quick stop at the city hall to take some photos of the beautiful area. Thankfully Kelvin was there to help us translate with vendors while shopping, as well as crossing the busy streets full of scooters and motorbikes.

What an incredible trip. Our guide was Tuan, and he was world class. He was so knowledgeable and caring. He made our day with the places he took us to. What an amazing experience and this City has incredible History to it. A must see and so glad we used Tuan for this experience.

Khang took us to great places in Ho Chi Minh City, but the best part was talking to him about life in his country and its history and religions. He is an excellent guide and teacher.

Penny was amazing—accommodating and cheerful throughout our tour. She provided a relatable and diligent explanation of Vietnam's history, covering its religions, ethnicities, geography, and wars. Her preparation for our visit to the war museum was particularly helpful, and we appreciated her thoughtful warnings. We also enjoyed a stop for lunch, where the menu was adjusted to accommodate my dietary needs, which was a nice touch. Penny was attentive, effortlessly sensing when we were eager for new information and when we preferred some quiet time. Her tour was well-balanced and thoroughly enjoyable. Additionally, the team ensured we returned to the port on time. Great job, and thank you for making our time in Vietnam so memorable!

We would thoroughly recommend this trip. It was the highlight of our holiday. Harry our guide, was friendly and enthusiastic. He gave us a very varied trip, with a ride on a bicycle and a canoe. We even had a swim. The trip was scenic with outstanding views. We were given an amazing lunch with many different courses. It was excellent value for money.
