Itinerary

  • Asiana Link Travel (Pass By)

Saigon as the city is still frequently referred to be Vietnam’s largest city. It is a fast-paced city full of contrasts as street vendors selling fruit and vegetables can be seen next to glitzy western-style bars and boutiques. Saigon’s history is only 300 years old. In 1859 the city was captured by the French and became the capital of Indochina. From 1956 until its dramatic demise in April 1975 it was the capital of the US-backed Republic of Vietnam. This FULL day city tour unravels Saigon’s turbulent past and also provides a glimpse into the fascinating variety the city has to offer.

  • Ho Thi Ky Flower Market

We pick up guests at several hotels; your hotel might be the first, so please be ready by 09:00a.m. Our friendly drivers can take you to Hồ Thị Kỷ Flower Market, where you can enjoy a short walking tour through the busy stalls, immersing yourself in the vibrant energy and scents of this beloved landmark of the local flower trade.

    20 minutes

  • Ba Thien Hau Temple

Take a cyclo ride to “Sài Gòn’s Chinatown” in District 5. Visit the Thiên Hậu temple to experience the fusion of Chinese and Vietnamese culture and Bình Tây Market for a vibrant atmosphere filled with goods and produce.

    20 minutes

  • Binh Tay Market (Pass By)

We’ll pass by Bình Tây wholesale market, one of the biggest markets in Hồ Chí Minh city.

  • N/A

Hop back on your Cyclo and leisurely make your way back to the city center. After a few hours of exploration, satisfy your hunger with a delicious light lunch at a local noodle shop. After a satisfying lunch, we’ll be ready for an interesting afternoon tour that will take you to many important sites.

    1 hour

  • N/A

We will visit the following places of interest in the morning: The Reunification Palace: Here on April 30th, 1975 the Vietnam War officially ended when tank number 843 of the North Vietnamese Army crashed through the gates of what was, at the time the residence of the President of the Republic of Vietnam.

    45 minutes

  • War Remnants Museum

War Remnants Museum: Formerly known as the Museum of American War Crimes, this is a poignant display of the futility of war. Some of the black and white photography in the ‘Requiem’ exhibit is particularly touching, dedicated to both foreign and Vietnamese journalists and photographers who perished during the conflict. The courtyard outside contains the spoils of war, namely rusting jets, tanks and cannons captured from the American military machine.

    45 minutes

  • Central Post Office

The Old Post Office is another example of French colonial architecture and is also the country’s largest post office.

    10 minutes

  • Emperor Jade Pagoda

Jade Emperor Pagoda: Built in 1909 in honor of the supreme Taoist god, this is one of the most spectacularly atmospheric temples in HCMC, stuffed with statues of phantasmal divinities and grotesque heroes. The pungent smoke of incense fills the air, obscuring the exquisite woodcarvings.

    20 minutes

  • Ben Thanh Market

Bến Thành Market is one of the oldest and most popular markets in Hồ Chí Minh City. It’s a bustling hub of activity where visitors can immerse themselves in the local culture and shop for a variety of goods, from clothing and souvenirs to fresh produce and street food. We’ll drop you back to pick-up point or somewhere in city center as your request.

Great Tour

Published on Dec, 2024

Ethan was excellent on our full day tour. The tour gave us a great overview of the central city and took us to places we would not have found. We had a great lunch and plenty of time to explore.

Fascinating & Insightful Experience

Published on Oct, 2024

The tour was well-planned and organized. Our tour guide Manh was very friendly and informative. Saigon can be a chaotic city from an outsider's perspective, but this tour shows that there is a method to the madness and a sense of happiness & beauty in the lives of the locals. I highly recommend taking the cyclo-bike option, as it gives you a sense of the city that you can't quite get by car or bus.
