Itinerary
Erasmus Bridge
The 800 meters long Erasmus Bridge is the connection between the northern and southern parts of Rotterdam. The suspension bridge over the Maas has a 139-meter-high steel pylon, which is mounted with 40 taps. Because of the shape of the pylon, the bridge got the nickname "De Zwaan". The Erasmus Bridge is the icon of the city of Rotterdam.
10 minutes
Markthal
A striking building that has been put away in the centre of Rotterdam is the Markthal. As a result, since the autumn of 2014, Rotterdam has suddenly come into possession of one of the most beautiful covered markets in Europe. Within the Markthal you can enjoy eating and drinking in all possible forms: beautiful ingredients, beautiful food to take home and mouth-watering dishes to eat on the spot: the Markthal has it all!
1 hour
Kijk-Kubus
The cube-houses in Rotterdam are a phenomenon, for 40 years. If you look at them, you wonder whether they are liveable. At first you need to get the feeling like you get with a proper fitting coat: the feeling you are at home.
Anyway you should take the odd and slanted shapes for granted and than start being creative. You can have this being done (costly), but doing it yourself gives you more satisfaction and connection with the house. Because of the facts that adaptability and creativity are being required, and the house has three floors (and steep stairs), this cube-house is more suitable for young starters than for seniors. Nevertheless, walking the stairs keeps one in good shape.
The location is fantastic. East-part of the city center, with Blaak Station, Market Hall and weekly market, Library and the Old Harbour in the vicinity. Rotterdam has become internationally known for it's architecture, foremost because of the explicit look of the cube-houses.
30 minutes
Royal Delft - Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles
During a visit to the Royal Delft Museum, the only remaining earthenware factory from the Golden Age of the 17th century you will learn everything about the history of the Porceleyne Fles. View the historical collection, including the royal collection, and become acquainted with the traditional production process of Delft Blue pottery in the factory. View a large collection of Delft antiques at the museum and marvel at a likeness of Rembrandt's The Night Watch reproduced with original Delft blue tiles.
Right after that, we will move on to the Oude Kerk is a Gothic Protestant church in the old city centre of Delft. Family members of the Royal who passes away are buried under this church.
1 hour
Binnenhof & Ridderzaal
See the Dutch parliament from outside in The Hague which is counted among the Top 100 Dutch heritage sites. The Binnenhof is among the oldest Parliament buildings in the world still in use. You will be able to see our politicians in real life as we walk inside these buildings.

The Scheveningen Pier is the seaside town’s icon and was fully renovated in 2015. If you prefer to take things easy, board the 42 meter Ferris wheel and enjoy the view of the Dutch coast. Go for a walk along the boulevard and find a table at one of the pleasant restaurants or beach clubs.
