I had the pleasure of having Sunil take me around to the sites in Delhi and I was very happy with the service. That said, here are some things I wish I knew beforehand:
In the Hindu temple you are taken, you have to take your shoes off. Not a bit deal but I saw one western girl walk around on her tiptoes so I guess she was surprised. You'll notice taking your shoes of at active places of worship becomes a theme so either go with the flow or you can just go in your socks. Also at the end, when you retrieve your shoes, you kind of get confronted to 'donate' some money to the temple by the security guards. You can skip it, but they kind of stand in the doorway so it's a bit intimidating.
Also in regards to the Hindu temple and elsewhere, you have a driver and not a tour guide persay, at least one that goes into sites with you. I had a tour the next day to Agra which had an actual guide and I kinda wish I booked that for this tour as well, especially when I couldn't take photographs like at the Hindu temple.
If you have a bag you can't bring it into some sites, well a large one at least, you can however leave it in the car of course. I did so and nothing happened to it.
Getting to the mosque involves walking through your typical dirty third world type market, don't bring your greatest shoes.
The restaurant they take you to, the new red onion, is pretty awful and expensive. If they confirm they're taking you there perhaps you can convince them to take you somewhere else.
I am glad I booked the trip, I definitely wouldn't be able to see as much if I did it myself.
