Your tour guide will meet you at your hotel at 09:00 a.m.. Then, we will transfer to Zhujiajiao and start the highlight tour. Also known as the ‘Venice of Shanghai,’ Zhujiajiao is the best preserved of the four ancient water towns in the Shanghai area. With a history dating back over 1,700 years, Zhujiajiao is full of lovely canals and waterways, small alleys, picturesque bridges, and ancient buildings, many from the Ming and Qing dynasties. The best way to explore Zhujiajiao is on foot and by boat. We will stroll through 1,700 years of history on a leisurely boat tour of this delightful water town. Then, We will visit landmarks including Kezhi Garden, the Qing-period post office, the City God Temple and Yuanjin Temple. Zhujiajiao post office is the earliest post office in east China, which is the only well-preserved Qing dynasty post office in east China. At noon, we will enjoy local specialty for lunch. After lunch, we will transfer to Shanghai downtown and visit several iconic attractions.

Xintiandi is divided into northern and southern parts. The south is dominated by modern architecture. The north is dominated by Shikumen old buildings. Composed of Shikumen and modern architectural style, now it has become a hot and fashionable pedestrian street in the center of the city. Actually, it stands for the popular and leisurely life style of this city's new generation. The outdoor cafés, bars and romantic restaurants can be seen everywhere. It was once the site of the first congress of the Communist Party, but is now lined with shopping and entertainment places.

It is an old shikumen house built in the 1920s that has been preserved and renovated. The museum was built according to the model of one household in the 1920s. There are seven main exhibition rooms, namely, the guest room, the study room, the old people's room, the master room, the daughter room, the pavilion room and the oven room. The story of a shikumen family runs through the whole visit. It not only shows the unique shikumen architectural culture of Shanghai, but also reproduces the living space and lifestyle of Shanghai people in those days.

We will see the 26 various buildings of different architectural styles at the Bund. Such as Peace Hotel, Shanghai Customs House and Shanghai Pudong Development Bank.

In a mere twenty years, Pudong has boomed into one of the busiest and prosperous areas of the world, flourishing in the business of world trade and finance, prevailing in world technology and boasting some of the world's highest skyscrapers. Such as: Shanghai World Financial Center, Shanghai Tower, Shanghai Oriental Pearl Tower and Jin Mao Tower.
The new landmark of Shanghai, the tallest building in Shanghai with a total height of 632 meters. The 118th floor of the tower has a indoor observation deck which is the world's highest indoor observation deck and called the 'Top of Shanghai Observatory'. Tourists are recommended to visit the exhibition hall on floor B1 first, and then take the express elevator to the 118th floor directly within only 55 seconds, its speed can reach 18 meters per second. Here, you have a bird’s-eye view of Shanghai. You will have time to stop and admire the scenery on both sides of the Huangpu River. If the weather is nice enough, you have a chance to see a spectacular sunset. Back to hotel after all the activities listed in the itinerary and end of the service.
