Overview

If anyone mentions Saigon, the first thing that crosses your mind is street food. There is a wholehearted team always in ready status to take you around Saigon. At 8:00 AM, from your hotel, we will get on a cab to Xom Chieu market in district 4. After satisfying your stomach, we will try some tropical fruits as dessert.Then, you are recommended to try Banh mi – a kind of food in Vietnam which is internationally famous. After that, it's better to wait for everything down by walking around some cultural places like Thien Hau Pagoda and Xom Chieu Church which was built in 1856. After a long while of walking, there are 3 more food and drink for you: broken rice, coffee, and a flan cake - a dessert which is especially made in an eggshell. At 12:00, when the heat of HCMC is on top, we will take a taxi to get back to your hotel.

Customers can choose from a wide variety to fill inside the baguette such as fried egg, pate, grilled pork, pork roll etc. and vegetable (coriander, cucumber, onion, carrot etc).     OVER 250 YEARS OLD TEMPLE Ba Thien Hau (Lady of the Sea) temple in Saigon is a Buddhist temple dedicated to the Chinese sea goddess, Mazu. It’s believed that she had protected and rescued ships and fishermans by flying around on a mat or cloud. Mazuism is connected with traditions and beliefs from both Taoism and Buddhism. You will find this temple in ‘Cholon’ (Chinatown) in District 5, which is roughly a twenty minute drive from the city centre.

    Beneath the house at 287/70 Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City there is a secret basement. This place once hid more than 2 tons of weapons of the Saigon Rangers during the war against America to save the country, especially during the General Offensive and Uprising in the Spring of Mau Than (1968). Today, the young generation and foreign tourists love to visit this secret weapons bunker in District 3 to learn more about the heroic fighting period of Vietnam's ancestors.

I had a lovely tour around local Saigon with Tin Tin. I got to taste some lovely local food as well as getting to learn more about Saigon's history. Tin Tin is very knowledgeable and friendly and made a great companion as we walked through this bustling city.

Great walking tour with our tour guide Patrick and our 23 month old daughter. Our daughter especially enjoyed climbing down into the underground bunker and back out via the long ladder.
