Overview

Ride together as a couple, family or group at the same speed and duration, regardless of age or handicap. Learn to ride a Segway in just a few minutes--then have fun! You must book for at least 2 guests. Tours booked with less than two must unfortunately be cancelled.

Meeting points

Look for "Coastal Discovery Museum" signs. Once through the gate, turn left at "Segway Tour" sign. Park off road at fence. Walk around fence to left. Continue on road on foot for 30 yards. Look for Segway sign on "barn" to the left.

    Our most popular Eco-Tour. Ride through open meadows, live oak-forest, explore the salt marsh and hear the history of the 70 acre, former cotton plantation. When done, enjoy the Coastal Discovery Museum. Eco Tours are stop and go, narrated tours mixing fun with a little new knowledge. Great for younger children, families and those who want a slower-paced activity. Great experience!

What a wonderful experience with Segway leader - Bob! Even my 15 year old daughter would like to do it again. We have never been to HHI or tried a Segway, so this was a great way to learn more about HHI and learn to ride a Segway. Great fun all around!!

Outstanding Eco Segway Tour

This Segway experience was fabulous! My mom and I went for the first time ever and our guide, Chris, did a phenomenal job! He was an excellent instructor, very knowledgeable and covered a lot of area with us. We even ventured over to Jarvis Creek Park and saw some alligators. He was incredibly safe the entire time. We loved this and absolutely recommend the tour!

This was so much fun!!! You will become a solid rider in just minutes. Our group was in their late 60s to mid 70s so age is no excuse! Our guide was wonderful and very knowledgeable of the low country ecosystem. Plenty of "off road" fun with the segways. Simply a must do when you are in the Hilton Head area.

We had a wonderful private family tour - 8 of us from 14-84 years old - with Segway leaders Bob and Liz. Our family has been to the Discovery Coastal Museum before but not on Segways, and they were able to show us more and teach us more than we'd ever seen before. Good instructions for the use of Segways, good length of the trip, good rest stops, good fun riding over a variety of terrain, good fun all around! We would all highly recommend this excursion!

John was an excellent Segway guide. He was very informative, but also fun. We thoroughly enjoyed our 90 minutes and would definitely return.
