The museum is the commemorative site of the former Ohel Moishe Synagogue, was once the religious ceremonial center for the exiled Jewish refugees during the World War II. The museum features documents, photographs, films and other personal items documenting people’s day-to-day lives at the time. There are seven main exhibition rooms, namely, the guest room, the study room, the old people's room, the master room, the daughter room, the pavilion room and the oven room. The story of a shikumen family runs through the whole visit. It not only shows the unique shikumen architectural culture of Shanghai, but also reproduces the living space and lifestyle of Shanghai people in those days. Nowadays, the museum is a good place for us to cherish the memory of old Shanghai and trace the historical memory.
