Overview

We begin the day with our city loop tour where we will provide guided commentary of Hobart's major attractions and landmarks. Our first destination is the awe-inspiring kunanyi, also known as Mt. Wellington. Ascend to the pinnacle at 1272m and be mesmerized by the breathtaking panoramic view of Hobart and its surroundings. Next, we'll venture to the renowned Salamanca Market, available on Saturdays only. After exploring the market, we will continue our journey through the scenic Coal River Valley wine region. Along the way, we will quickly stop at the acclaimed Wicked Cheese. Then, we will proceed to the historic township of Richmond, which is rich in convict history. Richmond is home to numerous charming eateries, making it the perfect spot for our lunch break. To conclude our adventure-filled day, we'll visit the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. Get up close and personal with the kangaroos and other native wildlife. Don't miss the chance to witness the famous Tasmanian Devil.

    Our first destination is the awe-inspiring kunanyi, also known as Mt. Wellington, where you can indulge in the renowned pristine air of Tasmania.     Next, we'll venture to the renowned Salamanca Market, available on Saturdays only. This world-class market showcases the very best of Tasmanian culture, offering a delightful array of art, local produce, talented buskers, unique souvenirs, refreshing beverages, and much more!

  • Richmond

    we will proceed to the historic township of Richmond, which is rich in convict history and showcases magnificent sandstone and colonial buildings. Here, you will be able to admire Australia's oldest bridge and Catholic church. Richmond is also home to numerous charming eateries, making it the perfect spot for our lunch break. Additionally, we highly recommend visiting the Drink Tasmania Tasting House, where you can indulge in tastings of the region's finest wines, whisky, and local produce.

    After exploring the city we will continue our journey through the scenic Coal River Valley wine region. This region is renowned for its award winning cool climate wines. Along the way, we will make a quick stop at the acclaimed Wicked Cheese, where you can enjoy a complimentary cheese sampling and an opportunity to purchase some local produce from the farm gate cafe.

A great way to see Hobart with only one day to do it. The driver was very friendly, and a fountain of knowledge about Tasmania.

Great overall tour, lucky with the weather!

We had an easy time finding the tour at the cruise terminal. Our driver/guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The bus held about 15 people and was clean. The seats were a bit tight for my knees but otherwise fine. We went to the Bonorang Sanctuary first and it was interesting. The wicked cheese factory was more of a shop to buy than anything else. Richmond was a cute town and gave us time to buy a meat pie, have a beer, and mail some postcards. The weather was lovely so we had great views from Mt Wellington. The tour gave us enough time to see everything and never did I feel nervous about missing the ship. They say they have never missed one! All in all a good time, great weather, and Andrew was a good driver and guide.

Our ship schedule did not permit us to take the tour we scheduled. The guide quickly attempted to secure us an alternative that included two of the 3 destinations in our original schedule. We were given a choice which. They couldn’t have been more accommodating and provided a partial refund. Our guide was very relaxed and offered us a fun excursion.
