    The Pena Palace is located in Sintra hills and it is one of the finest tourist attractions in Portugal. Built on a rock at 500m high, Pena Palace represents the 19th century Romanticism style, a mix of Manueline and Moorish architecture with great and impressive painted terraces. The interior of the palace is equally as fascinating and eclectic, drawing attention to details. From frescos on the walls to the incredible furniture everything is luxurious and looks like out of a fairytale.

  • Cabo da Roca

    Cabo da Roca is the point “where the land ends and the sea begins”. Immortalised by our greatest poet, Luís de Camões. Cape Roca impresses all who visit. The greatest and most imposing of all of Lisbon’s viewing points. More specifically, the viewing point where nature reveals its true power. A 1772 lighthouse on top of a cliff about 140 meters high, where the wind is incredibly strong, still safely guides the vessels that sail along the Portuguese coast.

    Guincho Beach is 6km north-west of the resort town of Cascais. Right on the edge of Serra de Sintra National Park. It is one of the largest in the country and known for its strong winds. Perfect for some surfing, kiting or windsurfing.

Great tour with a great guide — we had 4 adults and plenty of room in a classy MB van - loved the visit to Sintra and the coast — wonderful day and great guide!

The tours with Antonio were a highlight of our trip. He was a great guide and became a family friend. Antonio helped us plan our day, knew EVERYTHING and was a fun travel companion. Each place we went he knew exactly how to maximize our time and what we should see. Also, he knew who to talk to for a great lunch, access to the best views etc. The first day we went north and the second day we went south…whether it was Fátima, Nazaré or Óbidos on day one or Palmela, Azeitão or Portinho on day two we had a great guide leading the way!!! We learned so much information and had fun. The van was spacious and comfortable, the best way to see the country. Many thanks to Antonio for making our first trip to Lisbon an unforgettable experience. And we cannot forget Jose who took us on our first tour in Portugal…the palace, Sintra and Cascais were brilliant and he also was a great guide. We highly recommend Amiroad for your Portugal visit!!

Wonderful Sintra Day Trip!

Antonio is excellent. Highly recommended. He is knowledgeable, patient, nice and punctual. We were transported by a comfortable luxury seden and had good conversation along the trip. He gave good recommendations for food and sweets. We had time for a break with drink and pastries in Sintra city center. We went to the recommended restaurant for dinner after being drop-off at our hotel. It's a wonderful day trip in Sintra!
