I was initially skeptical this would be worth the hefty surcharge, given that this is not a private tour of the castle itself. Also, all of the positive reviews were directed towards Amir, and we were getting his associate, Caroline. BUT…. it was a fantastic experience and absolutely worth the money. Caro is a gifted storyteller and a very warm, engaging person… through her, this distant history came to life and felt very relatable. I wouldn’t have done this experience any other way. We are grateful that things came together the way they did!

Amir is an absolutely wonderful guide and an even better human being. He was knowledgable beyond expectation and took great care of us. Highly recommended!!

We had a terrific time viewing the castle and learning the story of Ludwig II with Amir. Our time in Füssen was short, the tour accommodated us perfectly: pick up from our hotel, quicker trip than most up the mountain (Amir has lots of friends), fast track lines and promptly back to town at the end. The castle is spectacular but the passionate retelling of the history by Amir and how that ties to the local people vastly amplified our experience. The Special Private Tours promise was spot on, we came as tourist and left as friends.

Our private tour was simply an amazing experience! Everything went smoothly, and the organization was perfectly managed. Our guide, Amir, was attentive and helpful, quickly responding to all our questions and ensuring the tour ran without any issues. We explored the sights practically without any waiting, making the most of our time. This trip was truly relaxing and enjoyable – we highly recommend it! The small group tour at the castle was also fantastic. Amir arranged for us to have an audio guide in Hungarian, allowing us to learn about the history in our native language. He supplemented the information with his own insights, making the experience even more engaging. He also showed us the best photo spots, capturing some amazing pictures of us so that no one was left out of the photos!

Caroline Stevenson was an excelent tour guide. She drive us up as close as possible and arranged a private horse carriage tide back to the car park. Caroline was very knowledgeable about the castle and hustory.
