Overview

Join our small group tour for an adventure to the Dandenong Ranges and Victoria’s famous Yarra Valley, just a 1-hour drive from Melbourne. We embark on a moderate 6.6km hike in the Eastern Sherbrooke Forest through towering Mountain Ash trees and wetland ferns. This hike will get the heart rate going and build an appetite for an afternoon of indulging. Look out for lyrebirds, wombats, wallabies, and echidnas that call the forest home. Next up, we pull into one of Yarra Valley’s favourite wineries, Yarrawood Estate for lunch. There's plenty of time for wine tasting too if you choose. After lunch, we visit craft beer brewery Matilda Bay, before visiting Payten & Jones for more good wine and great tunes. We top the day off with a visit to Four Pillars, a small craft gin distillery (that's been named the world's leading gin producer two years in a row), before hitting the road and returning to Melbourne. Tastings at Yarrawood Estate and Four Pillars are included.

A very good experience with a nice balance of activities and wine-tasting. Our guide Marcus was well-informed about our surroundings and also provided us with a lot of Australian context and knowledge (however, I still do not understand the rules of Australian Rules Football). Highly recommended.

Dandenong ranges and Yarra Valley

Spent a lovely morning walking through the Dandenong Ranges. Shane, our guide, was very knowledgeable and pointed out lots of wildlife to us. Very enjoyable walking through the forest and admiring the flora and fauna. We also went to Yarra Valley where the scenery is breathtaking and the food we had in the winery was top notch. Very delicious. Thank you Shane.

What a great day! This was my second tour with Hike and Seek. They do wonderful small group tours where you get away from the crowds and see lots of nature. Our guide, Shane, was excellent. We saw so many birds and animals. The wine was fantastic and the food was too. The gin tasting was in a beautiful distillery. It was also really nice to do so much but get back by 5 PM and then enjoy the city.
