South Iceland, Waterfalls and Black Sand Beach Tour takes you on a journey of exploration through the many dramatic faces of the Icelandic landscape. The South Coast region of Iceland is the flattest in the country making it ideal for farming but because this is Iceland, the land is also surrounded by majestic mountains, Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls, looming volcanoes and glaciers, Reynisfjara black sand beach and the formidable sea.   • Volcano Hekla (Pass By)

    Hekla is one of Iceland's most active volcanoes, and was for centuries believed to be the entrance to hell.

  • Skogafoss

    Visit Skogafoss waterfall. This is a picturesque 200-foot (60-meter) tall, broad and powerful waterfall, and due to its striking appearance it is frequently used in movies and commercials. You can get close enough to feel the spray from the falls on your face and, if you like, then climb a stairway leading to the top of the falls allowing you a view from above.

  • Vikurfjara Black Sand Beach

    Stroll along the black sand and pebble beach of Reynisfjara. The beach features stacks of basalt columns that wall off surrounding cliffs scattered with caves. You will be awed by the incredibly powerful waves of the Atlantic ocean crashing on to the shore. Offshore you will see the Reynisdrangar pillars, basalt rock stacks that rise from the sea.

    Here we stop at a local restaurant for a lunch break at your own expense.

    A volcano / glacier, which gained worldwide attention in 2010 when the ash cloud from an eruption stopped all flight traffic in Europe.

    Seljalandsfoss is a unique waterfall in that you can actually walk behind it when the weather permits and experience the beauty of this waterfall in a completely new way.

Great tour

Great trip, would have been nice to have a little longer at each stop but other than that it was excellent! Our tour guite Karen was phenomenal! So warm and welcoming, very knowledgeable and funny, also a great singer. Our driver wladamir (i hope i spelled that correctly) was very good, we went on a day with extremely high winds bit he was a fantastic driver!

This was awesome! Obviously you spend a lot of time on the bus, but that’s the perfect time to sleep off your hangover from the night before! Really though, they schedule the locations well so that you’re never waiting for too long, and the tour guide offers a lot of great facts and information during the drives! Furthermore, seeing a glacier is incredible. That alone is worth this experience, but the waterfalls are also great.

It was a wonderful way to experience the beauty of south coast, and also all the changes in weather. A good footwear, layering of clothes and mental preparedness is highly recommended.

It was a large coach, and as we were the last pick up the three of us were unable to sit together, so just be aware this can happen. However, the guide was very knowledgeable. All the stops were memorable. In my honest opinion, the black beach was overcrowded. However the stop in Vik, meant you could explore the beach with barely anyone else taking a million selfie of themselves! It's a long drive to and from Reykjavik, but the scenery is spectacular, and you get to see volcanoes and a glacier.
