A genuinely fascinating look into a civilisation which we seem to know very little about.
Most of the villages built by these Bronze age people were destroyed and built over by the Romans and others who have invaded Sardinia over the centuries, so this is an unique site as it had been covered in earth and so laid pretty much undiscovered until the 1950s when the full extent of what was hidden was revealed.
Because this is a World Heritage site, an on-site guide takes you around in a formal tour for no additional cost than the entry cost, however it does, inevitably, limit your time there.
But if you have any interest in ancient civilisations this is well worth visiting and is quite an eye opener for the skills and understanding of building and survival nerly 4,000 years ago.
