    Admire the beauties of the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Flower complex, you will be astonished by the marvel of the Baptistery of Saint John, dubbed by Michelangelo the Gates of Paradise, the incredible Brunelleschi-s dome, the imposing Giotto bell tower. Just nearby we will enjoy a huge dish of pecorino cheese, cured meat and crostinis, the most traditional starter in all Tuscany. (the visit is from the outside)

    Before enter the square we will have a great experience in a local grocery where we will taste the traditional vegetable soup (ribollita) and the tomatoes bread soup (pappa al pomodoro), learning the authentic recipes of these classic Tuscany delicacy. It's now time to indulge our sweet tooth enjoying the sweet fried bread and an artisan ice-cream. The tour ends in the beautiful square of Santa Croce, after 4 hours of wandering here we will relax sipping a strong espresso coffee.

A Must Do In Florence

What a great educational, fun, and delicious way to spend a couple hours in Florence. We had this beautiful, knowledgeable guide, who found us right away at the meeting point and, for four hours, let us taste our way through the San Lorenzo Market, a local restaurant, street food, real gelato in controlled temperature containers, and even a pastry shop. We started with little “sliders” of Italian ham/cheese, then an olive oil/balsamic/truffle shop, and some more meat and cheese in the market. Then we had a special table reserved for the eight of us in a quaint little restaurant for pasta with meat sauce and a beef stew, then onto another sandwich vendor, and we completed with a stop for gelato and another stop for Florentine cake. All came with beverages, including wine, beer, soda, or water. However, one of the best parts was our guide, who is from Florence, walking us through the city giving us a tour of the historic highlights. We loved it, and you will too. Come hungry!
