Overview

Discover the most beautiful corners of the city on a scenic tour of Coyoacán, the Xochimilco canals and visit the Central Building of the UNAM. Our first visit is the central building of the University of Mexico, an artistic mural that will impress you. This visit you will discover one of the architectural wonders of the city Then we will go to the floating gardens of Xochimilco. Explore them aboard a traditional trajinera while enjoying mariachi music in the background. If you wish, you can taste typical Mexican dishes on board that are not included in your tour. Then we will visit the magical town of Coyoacán, a neighborhood with colonial architecture in its temples and old houses converted into shops, art galleries, restaurants. This place houses artists from all over the world like Frida Kahlo. Also visit the Church and the Hidalgo Garden where you can find typical crafts. Fun time!

Xochimilco was fun on a Sunday. Carlos and Angel took good care of us. Lots of info and communication and engaging all participants.

Like Mardi Gras on the water! Coyotes and Churches and colleges are a bonus!

I had a fun time, visiting this great little "floating village." I'm from New Orleans, so it was like Mardi Gras floats on boats, sailing down the canals. Delicious lunch from the cook whose canoe attached to ours and food was prepared fresh and to order! Complete with a mariachi band that glides by you and even a souvenir guy, if you're needing a sombrero or serape in a pinch! Coyoacan was beautiful, and seeing the coyote statues all over, hearing the history and walking in the parks was a nice change from being in the busy city. The stop at CU was informative, as well.

xochimilco and CDMX tour

Our guide was knowledgeable, nice, and helpful. We saw multiple areas around CDMX in addition to xochimilco. We saw some of the Art Deco murals and a silver smith.

Didn't start as planned

The driver sent to pick us up at our hotel refused to allow us on the van, because a member of our party was in a wheelchair. Once we got the tour operator on the phone, they sent another driver for a personal and private tour. We didn't complete all the aspects of the original tour. But, we had a great time and a perfect day. I think the things we saw were better than the original tour would have been.
