This tour offers the perfect balance of a little activity in contact with nature hiking in a tropical rainforest and witnessing volcanic activity from a safe distance and the opportunity of relax at a natural swimming pool at the base of a beautiful waterfall and as a plus end up with a deserved break in the volcanic mineral hot springs. All this at the convenience of going in a private and comfortable transportation. By providing private transportation and a personal tour guide to each individual tour. We guarantee flexibility and a very personalized experience. WE JUST ADDED A LITE VERSION OF THE TOUR. CHECK IT OUT. In order to make your trip very enjoyable,now we also give you the opportunity to walk a shorter trail instead of the 2 hour hike , it's only about half mile walk in the forest where you can see 4 small extra waterfalls. Convenient and enjoyable experience

We enjoyed having the transportation from Tamarindo. The pickup and drop off was convenient and we were grateful that we weren't the ones driving given the traffic, road conditions, and other headaches. The trail was well maintained and people of various ages and abilities were having positive experiences. The buffet was a pleasant surprise! The private tour was helpful so that we could move on to the next experience when we were ready. Christian was kind and easy to be around.

Gabriel is a miracle worker!

Let's say your family of 18 showed up in Costa Rica the week between Christmas and New Years and didn't plan anything in advance and then expected to book excursions with a day or two notice...It wasn't going well. Finally I found Gabriel's page and sent a message and he quickly sent a reply. I told him how many people we had and what we were looking to do and that we were open to suggestions. He came up with a great plan for a hike that was kid friendly (he has kids of his own, so he gets it), cool for adults, and he arranged the guide and the transportation. We then said "well, you made one miracle happen, can you do it again and find us a private boat for a snorkel/cruise." Gabriel did it. Again. I know he had to put some work into it because it took him a day or two to get it all coordinated, but he made it happen. Gabriel is great at coming up with options to match your group. We tried to be as honest about what we were flexible about and what we weren't, and that helped him plan great activities for us. He is incredibly friendly, easy to communicate with, and responsive. I wish I was going back soon, so he could plan more for us!

Gabriel was an amazing tour guide. He tailored the tour to our group and focused on what we were interested in. He was very knowledgeable about the areas we went and shared really interesting information. He also is a great photographer and helped us get some really cool shots. It was really cool to hike around the active volcano and see steam and bubbling mud. Swimming below the waterfalls and relaxing in the hot springs was also a fun experience.

This was a really nice collection of activities in the Rincon de la Vieja area. The park hike was first. We saw several different types of birds and a few monkeys. We really enjoyed seeing the volcanic steam vents and boiling mud pools. After the hike, we went down to see the waterfall and followed that up with the mud bath and soaking in the hot springs. The lunch is a buffet at the restaurant on site and it was decent. Our guide Gilberto did a nice job with transporting and guiding us along the way.
