Overview

Enjoy the therapies of our Volcanic SPA On this tour, you will be in contact with nature in a unique experience on a active volcano and wild lakes. Depart from your hotel and journey along the south coast of São Miguel before heading towards the Furnas Valley to experience its dramatic volcanic landscape. We will start with a photo stop at the Pico do Ferro viewpoint for a great shots to the volcanic crater, followed by a soak at D. beija hot springs. You will have the benefit of having a genuine local tour guide that will do all the driving for you while doing a story telling of the island.

Miradouro Pico Do Ferro

One of the highlights of the Pico do Ferro viewpoint is the view of Furnas Lake, a picturesque body of water nestled among the verdant hills and volcanic craters. The contrast between the deep blue waters of the lake and the lush greenery of the surrounding landscape creates a scene of unparalleled natural beauty.

The volcanic lake of Furnas is a captivating natural wonder located in the village of Furnas. One of the unique attractions of the volcanic lake is the traditional Cozido das Furnas, or Furnas stew. Our guide, Gabriel, was fantastic! He was very patient, explained everything about the history of the island, the various aspects of the town (Furnas), and was an enjoyable company. This was towards the beginning of the trip, so despite the jet lag, Gabriel really made this an enjoyable adventure. Highly recommend this excursion with Gabriel.

the thermal sp was wonderful and unique- many people there but that didn't seem to matter as everyone was able to use the various pools our guide gabriel was wonderful as well-- he had lots of fun information and was very excited to talk about the azores

Gabriel was an amazing guide! He was nice, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable about the east coast of Sao Miguel and the Furnas Village. He allowed us plenty of time to explore the village, to look at the hot springs, enjoy the thermal pools, and enjoy the views.
