Caral in Peru, a civilization as old as ancient Egypt?

If you have time to spare in Lima, this full day excursion is worthwhile. The Caral excavations started just a few years ago, so there is still so much to uncover. You will realize how little is known about ancient Peruvian civilization, pre-dating the Incas by thousands of years. Remember to take your hiking shoes, sunscreen and wind-proof head cover. Be prepared to walk. We also toured the coastal village of Bandurria, even older than Caral, and even less excavated. Also wonderful views of the Albufera Paraíso and the Pacific Ocean.
