Overview

This excursion will offer you a half day of adventure and learning about our beautiful Costa Rica, we will start the day enjoying a delicious buffet breakfast and then we will take a coffee tour through an authentic plantation with coffee and chocolate tasting. Then we will visit the Poás Volcano where you can take a short walk to the crater to see its beautiful lagoon, of course taking into account that your sighting depends on the natural climatic conditions of the area. Along the way our guide will give you important information about the forest and the Volcano.

A half-day tour with a day's worth of experiences

This tour did quite a bit in a short amount of time. Arturo was friendly and knowledgeable and took good care of our group. The stops were all quite short, but sufficiently long to feel like you got a good sense of each place and learned a bit.

Great experience

I book a lot of tours on Trip Advisor but I have to say this one was particularly enjoyable. I had a great time in the coffee plantation and learned a lot about the process, I also had fun tasting different types of coffee and chocolate. Then we got to enjoy a traditional breakfast with an amazing view. The views from the volcano and the waterfall were simply amazing. We later stopped at a family-owned restaurant for lunch, the food was great and the staff was lovely. The tour lasted nearly 12 hours but I felt energized and at peace throughout the day, it was like a detox and I got to enjoy Costa Rica’s beautiful nature. Our guide Marcela was the best, she is knowledgeable, kind and very patient. 100% recommend this tour.

Nicest/informative tour guide + very good driver. The driver definitely took his time and was very careful with the crazy roads through the mountains. The tour guide, Andres was excellent. The view was beautiful. Highly recommend

Thank you to Victor & Gerardo ! Nice tour & guide, glad we were still picked up after some pick up site misunderstanding. It was nice learn about the coffee process, facts, and getting to try to the chocolate samples in the gift shop. Good experience overall even though the weather wasn’t in our favor. Waterfall was cool! Great food along the way. Some good wine as well.
