We did the VTT tour at Furnas with Liam who was a really good guide , really nice and a kind person. He explained us a lot about the area and the nature. He took the time we needed to enjoy our tour. The felt like VIP. He spoke french as well so it was nice for us. Then we went to a really nice restaurant with both Liam and Clara. It was great typical food and with vegetarian options (we really appreciated) . In the afternoon, we visited the botanic garden. Clara is an amazing guide, she knows so much and she is really passionate, we could feel it and that made the experience even more authentic and great. It was a perfect day. I would definitely recommend it and hope you could do it with these two awesome guides.

We booked a full-day activity with Picos de Aventura after we already went whale watching and canyoning with them and had a whale of a time. For my sons (9 and 13) who like to be active, kayaking and cycling was a great choice. We spent a couple of hours paddling and taking in beautiful peaceful surroundings of the Furnas lake together with two other families. Our guide Diogo was attentive and accommodating to each of us, helping us to feel relaxed and encouraged in our paddling efforts. After lunch in Furnas, where we could try the Portugese stew, cooked underground using geothermal energy, we cycled around the lake and climbed a view point overlooking Furnas. Diogo was very informative and one could feel his love for nature and the island. He kept us engaged and entertained throughout the day and felt like an old friend at the end of the day. We would definitely like to return for some more adventures with Picos!
