Overview

I love Lucha Libre show since I was a little girl and I have been doing this experience for a long time, so today I already know which details makes you really enjoy the matches, even you don't know anything about them. I will teach you what to do and how we Mexicans interact with the wrestlers during the show. What makes this experience unique is the personal and friendly attention, but also sharing the passion for wrestling from a Visual Artist who admire the characterization and masks. I also have to say that I really love to meet people from the whole world and share Mexican Popular culture such as the Lucha Libre. That allows me to know more, understand different ways of thinking and making culture, which I think is real human richness.

Mercado De Artesanias La Ciudadela

You will have a fun and tasty afternoon that you can only experience in Mexico City with Mexican friends. We will start by tasting the best tacos, quesadillas or guacamole in one of our favorites taquerias or Mexican restaurants, there we will have the oportunity to take also mezcal, tequila or beer while I introduce you to the history and main rules for really understanding struggle free. Then we'll reach for the Arena for a fantastic and great spectacle of wrestling! Please note that the meeting point and restaurant can change depending on the day since the hour of the wrestling shows is different each day but normally, we can meet at the Citadel.

Watching the Lucha Libre show is a must have experience in Mexico city. We will watch from 6 to 5 wrestl while we try Mexican snaks. You can also have drinks inside but you have to take advantage they only accept cash.

Host is great! Super kind + accommodating. Speaks English, explains everything very clearly. Would 100% recommend for anyone coming from out of the country and interested in the experience. Tacos were great and the Lucha show is very entertaining and campy

We loved this experience! Had a bit of a mishap to start with as we went to the wrong meeting spot but Fer and the group waited for us to catch them up which we were super happy about. That even allowed us to have our tacos after the show as we missed them at the start. Really really lovely guides who love Lucha Libre. Now we do too!

Fernanda makes Lucha Libre so much fun!

Lucha Libre is a blast. Our guide Fernanda expertly shepherded a group of about 30 from the taqueria to the stadium and gave us fan instruction beforehand about different aspects of the wrestling and crowd participation. Very fun!! Fernanda frankly was the best part of the entire experience., her enthusiasms, engagement, checking in on everyone throughout the evening, and gifts of masks and figurines for all tour -goers. She assisted with taco orders, and kept the tequila glasses full upon request and beer flowing. We were primed to participate and enjoy a great show. Be aware, seats are in general seating in the upper areas of the arena, climbing well over 100 stairs. At 7000’ elevation, not really suitable if you have cardiomyopathy. It’s a good overview of all the action but too far to see the wrestler’s masks.

Fernanda was amazing! The traffic was intense and she was willing to wait for everyone so we could all get the experience. Friendly and always with a smile. She really dove into explaining the story behind Lucha Libre and made it interactive. She always made sure our safety was first and always kept an eye on us. A small gift at the end was a great touch to capture the fun time and her love and care with it all. Would highly recommend her as she’s super knowledgeable and helpful with everything!
