Overview

Mutianyu Great Wall is one of the most famous and ideal sections of the Great Wall, less crowded than Badaling Great Wall with beautiful views. This is a no-shopping stop small group tour for up to 14 people. To meet some new friends, this fun tour fits you perfectly!

Itinerary

  • Summer Palace (Yiheyuan)

    Meet your guide and fellow travelers at Dongzhimen Subway Station, Exit C (Line 2), in front of Genza Mall. Then, head directly to the Summer Palace, about a 30-minute drive away. The Summer Palace is the largest and best-preserved imperial garden and palace in China.

  • Mutianyu Great Wall

    You will arrive at the Great Wall around noon and enjoy a delicious lunch. Afterward, you'll have 3 hours to explore the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. You can take a hike along the wall or enjoy a photo session of the stunning views. For an extra thrill, you can choose to ride the chairlift up and experience the toboggan ride down (at your own expense). It’s a fun and exciting way to descend the wall! Once your tour concludes, you will be transferred back to the original meeting point at Dongzhimen Subway Station.

Enjoyable Tour

Our tour of the Great Wall of China and Summer Palace was absolutely amazing, thanks to our incredible guide Jing. She was not only knowledgeable about the history, but also made the experience unforgettable. Only 8 people on the tour! The lunch was really good!

An excellent and affordable trip to experience the Great Wall as a solo traveller. Our guide, May, was great from start to finish, informative and helpful at every stage of the trip, and gave us various options to cater for all levels of fitness when walking the wall. The lunch was lovely. I would definitely recommend Wang tours for communication, care and efficiency.

I would like to say that this trip along with our guide Li and the driver Wang was amazing. Li was very nice and pleasant to be with. Her English was really good and she had lots of information to share. Once we got started she shared her culture with us through stories about Beijing and the Great Wall and by sharing her favorite candies with us along with their names and what they were made of. She also bought us a case of water to share on the trip. Once we got to our destination we had a very delicious dinner. Then we went to the wall. We had options of going off on our own or staying close by for more information. It is amazing to think about how they were able to build such a wall in this location during their time. I highly recommend this trip!
