This was a fantastic tour to James Bond island, Panyee fishing village and the reclining Buddha cave. Kiwi, our guide, and Montree the driver were excellent throughout. Kiwi was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, she made the day even more enjoyable. We left the hotel early to avoid crowds and that was a great idea. Lunch at the fishing village was plentiful and tasty, we loved it. All in all it was a great day, we thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend Kiwi and Montree from Discovery Travel.

Extremely well organised day trip from start to finish to the beautiful Surin Islands. The boat trip is 1hr 20mins each way and can be a bit rough even in the good conditions that were ours. The sea sickness pills they provide are highly recommended as there were moments of need let’s say. I probably wouldn’t recommend going if the weather is not serene or if you are scared of the sea though. Once there the locations are very beautiful; 3 different ones snorkeling off the back of the boat, 1 visiting the Morkan people and their market, and 1 lunch stop and a beautiful beach relax. The team were fun, very helpful and very organised…this is a highly recommended trip.

Amazing afternoon. Lovely visit to temple, island and floating village. Fab sunset. Guide knowledgeable and very friendly. Timing just seemed to miss the crowds. Would thoroughly recommend.

Great trip to James Bond Island. Our guide Chart was charming and very knowledgeable, driver Mr. Pong competent and careful. The first stop was the cave temple which was interesting - don’t forget to ask to visit the bat cave! The long tail boat ride to James Bond Island was fun and it wasn’t too crowded when we arrived as we chose the afternoon trip. We saw beautiful kingfishers in the mangroves and spectacular sea caves. Lovely meal on Panyee Island before a relaxed drive back to Khak Lake.

Great tour we learned so much from our guide with expert local knowledge of temple and perfect level of communication. The boat trip to Khao Phing Kan was perfectly timed with less crowds again our guide pointed out plenty of wildlife around the area and how the eco system works for each element of the forest. The trip to the restaurant and island was a a real eye opening experience learning of local culture how the residents came to live in the area and what the future holds for the inhabitants, the food was amazing and accommodated our dietary choices perfectly. Would recommend if you’re looking to learn all aspects of the area rather than going to see James Bond island.
