Departure point: Free picking up service from your city hotel or residence in Chengdu (all hotels within 3rd Ring Road) and CTU airport, if you stay outside the 3rd Ring Road, then need to be picked up at the main gate of Wuhouci, or please contact us in advance to ... arrange to be picked up from your hotel and pay extra cost to driver. A private vehicle will pick you up from your Chengdu hotel and take you on a two-hour drive to the Leshan Grand Buddha. Upon arrival at Leshan, indulge in a delicious Chinese lunch at a popular local restaurant. Afterwards, your guide will lead you to the Grand Buddha Temple (Lingyun Temple), located behind the Grand Buddha’s head. Marvel at the elaborate construction of its coiled hair, which is made up of around 1,020 twisted buns. Walk inside and marvel at the intricate sculptures and wall designs of the temple. Then, follow your guide down the trail toward the left of the Grand Buddha. This walk usually takes approximately 30 minutes, but is flexible depending on any rest or photo stops you may want to make. Standing at an impressive 233 feet (71 meters) high and 92 feet (28 meters) wide, it is by far the largest carved Buddha sculpture in the entire world! Admire the grandeur of this structure as it towers over you. For an alternative view of the Grand Buddha, take a boat cruise on the river (at own expense). After a full day of touring this World Heritage Site, sit back and relax as your private transport drives you back to your Chengdu hotel.

Samuel, the tour company manager, helped me and my son arrange a wonderful trip, and Junie, the tour guide, made sure both of us enjoyed ourselves and learned everything there is to learn about the Leshan budda. Although I have been on this tour once before, she still told me many new interesting facts that I had not learned already. Then she took us to a local restaurant which truly had unique offerings and we ate a delicious meal. I definitely recommend this company.

This was an absolutely wonderful tour. My guide Worli was lovely. Very well informed. Spoke great english and was very accommodating to all my requests. What I loved about this tour was everything was included and more. Worli had so much knowledge on not only Leshan Buddha but all topics relating to Chinese culture. We also enjoyed a great lunch, where Worli helped me choose the best vegetarian dished one can find in China! highly recommend this tour and all other tours by this company,

This tour was great! The guide (Mars) was very informative and helpful. She was also really personable--it felt like I was hanging out with a friend. The driver was extremely professional as well. Highly recommended!
