    After wandering around Chania old town, we hop into a traditional Cretan shop to devour and enjoy the treasures of Cretan land: Extra virgin olive oil, fresh dairy products, pure honey, exceptional wine and traditional Cretan rusks become familiar, as our guide explains the traditional food habits of the locals, as well as the significance of the Mediterranean diet to our modern daily lives!

    We finish our tour by tasting one of the most famous food specialities in Chania, as we go inside a shop renowned in our town for more than 100 years! We taste the agricultural products of our island , as we devour the famous "Bougatsa of Chania", a traditional pastry with "fyllo" dough, filled with a traditional fresh creamy goat's cheese, called "Mizythra", finishing our tour with a full stomach, and a mind full of memories!

Excellent tour!

We had a wonderful tour of Chania with Apostolis. He was incredibly knowledgeable of the history of Chania and gave lots of detailed information, especially the Battle of Crete in WW2. He very kindly accommodated one of our group (who has Parkinson’s and tires easily) and was happy to divert to a cafe when rest was needed. He went above and beyond, recommending other things to do on Crete and an excellent lunch stop. We had a wonderful morning with Apostolis!
