You will be guided through a collection of stunning and colourful geothermal features, including the Champagne Pool and the Devil's Bath. 2. Lady Knox Geyser: - Following Wai-O-Tapu, we will proceed to the Lady Knox Geyser, which erupts once daily with remarkable punctuality. 3. Waimangu Volcanic Valley: - Our tour concludes with a visit to Waimangu Volcanic Valley, the youngest geothermal ecosystem in the world. Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland

Journey to Wai O Tapu, one of the world's most surreal destinations. You will spend approximately 45-60min in the park before departing to the Lady Knox geyser.

Our journey will guide you to the Lady Knox geyser who only erupts once a day at 10.15 am. Come along and found out the story behind her punctuality.

Waimangu Volcanic Valley

We journey to the Jurassic Waimangu valley, the youngest geothermal eco-system in the world. Here we will witness first hand the power and beauty of mother nature and the aftermath of the 1886 volcanic eruption of Mt Tarawera. We spend approximately 90min here, including a 30min lunch break at the scenic Waimangu cafe.

Rotorua based Small Group Morning Tour Waimangu and Wai O Tapu -- Our guide, Trent, was excellent. Both knowledgeable and entertaining. The places we explored were all wonderful and beautiful to visit. Really enjoyed this activity, it was perfect to see all the spots included in a half day tour!

Very enjoyable eco-thermal tour. Very impressed with Clive our guide who was really knowledgeable and enthusiastic and we learnt a lot about the thermal and volcanic activity in the area. Clive was very friendly and made sure we saw everything and answered all our questions. We enjoyed our tour of the thermal park , the trip to the geyser and the walk to the volcanic crater. Clive paced the trip perfectly and ensured we all enjoyed the trip.

Natural wonder and beauty! Such an unusual place- geothermal activity amid beautiful flora. We had a wonderful tour guide, Clint, who was very knowledgeable regarding geothermal activity, flora and fauna. He really made the tour interesting. He was also helpful with recommendations on restaurants and shopping for locally sourced products.
