Aggeliki Kourou picked us up from our hotel in central Rethymno on time which we were wondering about as cars are not allowed on that street. She was a charming, friendly and informative tour guide with excellent English and we felt safe in her car. It was great learning about some Cretan delicacies and wine from a local. Happy to recommend this tour and if I am in Crete again use Aggeliki.

Has to be the greatest tour guide in Crete! Amazing trip to the only natural freshwater lake in all of Crete followed by a fascinating visit to a local Olive oil producer and then the most exquisite wine tasting in Crete!

We had an absolutely wonderful time on the winery and Lake Kournas tour in Crete. Our tour guide, Aggeliki, is one of the most knowledgeable guides we’ve had and certainly introduced us to the beauty of Cretan landscape, culture, and life! Being a private tour, the pace was relaxing from the moment we were picked up by Aggeliki, and the organizers were very flexible to work around our own schedule. The lake we stopped at first was astonishing, with incredible views and refreshing water. Perfect for families with children! Then onto the Olive Oil mill, where the owner of the family business showed us around his factory and explained the process of olive oil making. Finally, we stopped at the winery, where we spent most of our time touring the gardens, eating a delicious light lunch and tasting 5 spectacular wines. Throughout the tour, we were touched by what close ties our guide had with the local business owners, and we felt we received even more excellent service because of it. We also noticed that the winery had both families and couples, and the whole place had a wonderful family feel to it. Thank you, Aggeliki for such a fantastic day in the Cretan mountains! We highly recommend this experience to anyone wanting to get a taste of all the luxuries that local life has to offer.

Amazing experience and the guides made it even more memorable such lovely people filling us in on all the local knowledge and hotspots! The visits really wouldn’t of been the same without them!
