Preveli Beach

The beach of Preveli is situated 40 km south of the main town and is the most idyllic beach in Rethymno. Preveli reminds of an exotic lagoon. It is an oasis of palm trees with crystalline greenish waters and fine soft sand. Kourtaliotis River ends at this wonderful beach, creating a delta. Apart from the superb palm trees, lush vegetation surrounds the beach and the river, creating a dreamy landscape.

Firstly thank you very much to Michelle, she is a lovely lady who is a breath of fresh air, very welcoming whilst retaining her professionalism and helping us to make the great decision to go on The Cretan Safari Land Rover Experience. Thankyou Michelle it was so lovely to meet you. We were a group of 5, made up of myself and my husband and a couple and their teenage daughter. We had a really brilliant day. Themis, our guide and driver was an amazing guide, he was an excellent driver and such good fun. He was very knowledgeable of the local areas and entertained us greatly. Our highlights were, getting off the beaten track and going up really bumpy roads. Stopping at the villages and seeing the locals, and having a lovely tasty meal at a local village, he really looked after us well, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We recommend this trip to anyone who likes a bit of fun and adventure along with seeing some beautiful views along the way. Thank you very much for such a wonderful time. Wendy and Adrian

Fantastic tour. Stelios was very knowledgeable and a great guide, we got a real understanding of the authentic Cretan way of life. Would highly recommend.

Dionisos and his love for Crete!

Dionisos was absolutely incredible. I believe that the main reason why my family and I fell in love w Crete was due to his amazing knowledge and for his love for the island. We now love Crete too. We covered so many things like canyon viewing, visiting small villages, learning about the horticulture, and the simple way of life on this gorgeous island. Of course, my kids liked a little bit of shopping peppered in a different locations we stopped at (age 9 and 12). You will not regret taking this tour! Note that we were on a cruise w the Royal Caribbean and was picked up and dropped off right at the port. Super easy!!

Well worth it.

Absolutely brilliant, tour guide very knowledgable, went off road quite a lot so saw lots of places you would not normally see. Great food at lunch stop. A bit hair raising a times but very able competent driver.

Land Rover Safari

Just got back from an excellent day out! Dionysus is great fun and very knowledgeable. We saw some amazing scenery and had an authentic Cretan lunch. I would highly recommend this trip.
